Rifugio C.A.I. Cittą di Arona is located in the beautiful Parco Naturale Alpe Veglia (Natural Park) on the Alpi Lepontine, on Italy North-West border with Switzerland.
Alpe Veglia is a real paradise for people who love nature and quietness, situated in a green landscape still uncontaminated. It offeres the possibility of walking and tracking for everybody, either experts or not.
From the shelter, situated in the heart of Alpe Veglia
valley, you can enjoi an astonishing sight of
Monte Leone (3553 m), the highest of the Alpi Lepontine
mountains.
The summer shelter is opened between june and september. A winter shelter is alwais available when summer shelter is closed.
